As a storyteller with a focus on families,
I thrive on creating and developing authentic, relevant, multi-platform content that deeply engages audiences and propels people to action.
In 2022, I was appointed the editor in chief of Parents, a national media brand founded nearly 100 years ago. I am honored to represent this iconic brand as it continues to evolve and reach a new, more diverse generation of caregivers. Building trust is essential to my work and I do that by bringing my lived experience, deep sense of empathy, and mission-driven mindset to everything I do.
I have a proven track record for strategically shaping brand voice, vision, and values, and persuasively communicating those to internal stakeholders as well as external partners. By identifying macro and micro demographic shifts on the horizon, I can anticipate trends, serve consumer needs, and drive business results. I have been tasked by major companies—e.g. Colgate, Jaguar/Land Rover, and Target—to deliver cultural insights into the multicultural market.
My innate understanding of families across different demographics is an invaluable asset that has also positioned me as a thought leader on a variety of stages. I have moderated and presented at conferences and summits across the country, including the Aspen Ideas Festival and the Common Sense Summit. And I regularly share my expertise via live television on shows like Today, Good Morning America, CBS This Morning, and Live with Kelly & Mark.
I also co-hosted and served as a producer on That New Mom Life, a podcast geared towards mothers that led to a guest-hosting opportunity at NPR. While I am passionate about creating immersive audio stories, I love the written word and have contributed to The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and New York, among other outlets.
I live in Brooklyn with my husband and daughters. In my free time, I serve as an ambassador for the Good+ Foundation, a nonprofit working to break the cycle of family poverty.
